Creating a Beautiful Wedding

Wedding Policies and Procedures
Please call for the Facilities Use Agreement and Rental Use Guidelines for rental policies and procedures. Our policies will ensure the very best celebration for you, while protecting our historic facilities and natural environment.

Music
A musician's gallery in the Great Hall offers excellent acoustics for background music. Bands, DJs and dance floors may be stationed outside on the Guest House Tower, in the tent at the Veranda, or in the Castle Court. Power is available for sound equipment at all locations. Due to its fragile nature, there is no dancing in the Castle. The Chickering piano, purchased by the Kimball family in 1891, is available for use. The piano may not be moved and must be used where it is located in the Conservatory.

Dressing Rooms
The Master Suite of the Castle provides a luxurious dressing room for the bride and her attendants. Accommodations are also available to the groom and his groomsmen prior to the ceremony. These rooms, as well as the areas required by the catering staff and related trades, are available two hours before guests arrive.

Rental Period and Fees
Rental fees differ depending on the location of your wedding and the day of the week. Please contact the Wedding Coordinator for specific pricing. The rental period for weddings and receptions is eight hours and is allocated as follows:

  • Two hours prior to the event for set up by caterers, florists, vendors and wedding party (not open to guests)
  • Five hours of guest time (concluding at 10 p.m.). An additional hour may be purchased if available.
  • One hour following guest time for event clean up.

Cancellations
Cherokee Ranch & Castle must be notified of cancellation in writing. Fees are refunded as follows: prior to six months if more than half of the rental fee is paid, half the rental fee and the damage deposit will be forfeited and the remaining balance will be returned. After six months, the rental fee and the damage deposit will be forfeited. We will gladly refund the damage deposit if we are able to rebook the date.

Catering
Only caterers from our approved list may be used. All of our caterers offer a variety of cuisine and price ranges to meet your needs. All of our caterers are insured, have their own licensed kitchen and are familiar with the unique conditions of catering in this historic building.
