The topeng of Bali is a masked drama which dates back to the 9th century. Tour, eat an Indonesian Supper and experience…an ancient King and his trusted servant, an aging warrior whose movements have been slowed by time, and a series of comical village characters acting out a story as old as the idea of the village itself, but one that addresses those topics of greatest concern in the here and now. “Churchill: Long Serving and Outspoken”
Winston S. Churchill‘s leadership skills, exemplified through his classic orations, prepared his nation to stand alone against the onslaught of Nazi tyranny. Was Churchill born a natural orator? No, his first speech was a bit of a disaster. How did he construct his speeches that were so critical and uplifting to people, not just in Britain, but worldwide? This evening we shall explore these questions and come to understand the true meaning of statesmanship and leadership as practiced by Winston Churchill. In particular, we will see how Churchill’s mastery of the English language and of history made his success possible. You will understand the demanding process he actually used to create masterpieces of oration. The multimedia presentation will also allow us to experience snippets of his beautiful rhetoric and realize that they are still awe inspiring and relevant to our current times.
