Denver Center Theatre Academy Presents William Shakespeare's A Twelfth Night

Join us for this very special Family Performance by Teen Actors from the Denver Center Theatre Academy. Enjoy and delight in these energetic and blossoming actors as they perform their abbreviated version of Shakespeare's classic, A Twelfth Night, directed by David Saphier and Justin Walvoord. DCTA is a part of the Education Department of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. This Summer Program is designed for students to investigate all aspects of drama by working in a fast-paced rehearsal setting with professional actors and directors.

You are invited to Cherokee Ranch and Castle for a very unique Performance, featuring an eclectic mix of music from Spain, South America, Africa, the Middle East, the British Isles, Australia and other areas. The musicians will demonstrate and perform on a wide variety of ethnic percussion instruments from all the above-mentioned cultures – and will enlighten the audience about the various rhythms associated with these cultures. On the piano, a variety of pieces are played using rhythms like Bossa Nova, Samba, Seguidilla, and Mambo. Also incorporated are some Jazz, Tango, and even an Opera Aria or two!
This Performance will truly be unique, virtuosic, and fun for children and adults alike! Performers are Bill Hill, Nadya Hill, Colin Hill, and Natalie Hill (all the same family and all professional performing musicians. Bill Hill is a member of the Colorado Symphony). The family has performed this Concert very successfully for various Colorado Symphony functions, the Grand Teton Music Festival, the Dubois Wyoming Summer Concerts, the Jackson Hole Public Library and at numerous schools in Colorado and Wyoming from elementary to high school. Do not miss out on what is sure to be a unique evening!

A special Concert, designed for children five and under, by the acclaimed quintet of The Denver Brass. No sitting still and no shh-ing, a perfect opportunity to introduce your little ones to the joy and magic of live music! This fun musical experience will enrich early brain development and musical awareness in children. Parents will receive pointers on how to spark a lifelong love of music in young minds and hearts.
